"Apocalypse"
The Dana Brass Quintet, in residence at Youngstown State University has appeared throughout the nation in concert and clinic formats. The quintet has performed concerts for audiences of all ages, both through Title One Children's Concerts and for university and community groups.
Since its founding in 1967 by Esotto Pellegrini, the Dana Brass Quintet has become known as one of the finest chamber ensembles in the country. Its present members bring to the ensemble a wealth of performance experience including the Cleveland Orchestra, The United States Army Band, the New York Philharmonic, The Colorado Music Festival Orchestra, The Blossom Music Festival Concert Band and a wide variety of chamber and jazz ensembles.
Widely acclaimed for its performances of new works, the quintet is proud to present the premiere recordings of Apocalypse V by Warner Hutchison and Nightmare: The Ideas of March, A Poor Pourri by Gene Nichols.
